Guide: How To Find Your Ring Size

Guide to find your ring sizes:

1. Measure a ring you already own

If you have a ring that fits the finger you're sizing for, you're most of the way there. Measure the inside diameter in millimeters. Below is a conversation chart of mm to US ring standard ring sizes. Or grab a ring sizer mandrel (fancy word for metal rod) and place the ring on there to see where it lands.

2. Use an in-store sizer

Most department stores and jewelry counters keep a set of sizers behind the counter, no appointment or purchase required. Slide a few on, find the one that's snug but still slides comfortably over your knuckle, and you're done in under a minute. You can also grab one on Amazon if you want it handy.

3. Printable Ring Sizer Chart

Helpful Hint: If you have a printable chart, write which size goes with which finger so you have it on hand AND so does anyone else in your house who might want to gift you a ring!

A few things to pay attention to:

Your hands change size more than you'd think. Heat, humidity, travel, and activity all cause swelling. Here are some best practices:

Time of Day - Your hands swell throughout the day due to heat, food, work, etc. Measure in the evening, after a normal day, in normal temperatures.

Temperature - Cold fingers shrink, warm fingers expand. Measure at room temperature.

Knuckles - Knuckles can affect your fit, so if yours are large go 1/2 size up so the ring slides on comfortably but is still secure on your finger.

Band Width - Wider bands feel tighter. None of my rings are specifically thick, however, are you building a stack? Each ring as it stacks with another creates a thicker ring on your finger so size up 1/4 to 1/2 on each ring (1/2 if you are going for an epic stack).

Still not sure, or working out a stack and want a second opinion? I'm happy to help you sort it out.
